Ramada Plaza Cleveland East

First off a smoking room was reserved. Had to argue with clerk and only because I had a copy of the reservation was I able to get a non-smoking room where they allowed me to smoke. Problem there was that the room had no ashtrays.
Management couldn't find any ashtrays and told me to use a foam coffee cup with water in it. I ended up purchasing an ashtray at a nearby store. Reason for choosing this hotel was the hot tub / pool. Hot tub was closed waiting on heater parts. The pool was full of unsupervised teens so chose not to partake. Otherwise, it was very nice. Never saw 1 person in the restaurant, so went elsewhere. The clerk gave us the farthest room on third floor. It looked like it was going to be renovated for there were puddles of water on the carpet and in our room we had three gigantic patched holes coming undone any time. ...read more

The location was great, just off the highway. Although the bed was very comfortable, the toilet ran continuously (I checked in very late otherwise, I may have requested another room). The refrigerator was dirty on the outside, I would not use it. Had no idea where ice machine was or anything else in the hotel because there was no information on hotel amenities at all in room. This hotel is not worth the money we spent. When we opened the door to the room we were overwhelmed by the smell of smoke. It was as if someone just put a cigarette out. We were able to get another non smoking room but it was still a little smelly. The carpet in halls was water-damaged and dirty. The whole place had a prison-like feel to it.

My spouse and I were spending the night while attending a friend's wedding. When we were finished at the reception we were looking to have a night cap and decided to go to the bar in the hotel, which to our pleasant surprise the bartender was a very pleasant man and as more guest filtered in the night turned into an evening full of interesting conversations. We were only there overnight but we found it to be pleasant. Parking was convenient.

Room was neat, sofa bed needed clean sheets upon our arrival. We had to walk down 4 hallways and through 4 sets of doors to get to our room from the elevator, so the set up was not convenient. Cigarette smoke was very noticeable in all hallways. Smoking rooms were mixed in with non smoking. Front desk staff was very nice and helpful.
